My story;

  My name is Fanni Paulik. I have been surrounded by cats for as long as I can remember, and I am passionate about animals. My first cat was a black "male" with a simple but charming personality, which I received as a gift when I was a child. He was named Percy - after my favorite character from an animated cartoon. We played a lot every day, I fed him, cared for him, raised him with love, and slept together. He was always an outgoing cat, but then suddenly he started to "gain weight" overnight. It soon became clear that what we had believed was not true. The little darling is not a male, but a female, and she is expecting kittens... there was a surprise... Then her kittens were born, and I fell in love with cats even more. That was when I first felt that I cared about them and wanted to know everything about them so that they would grow up in a good place, be happy and healthy. I loved every minute I spent with the kittens. They are so honest, pure, kind, and emotional creatures.

In the summer of 2021, after I moved in with my then partner in an apartment in Budapest, I really started missing my cat, as she was hundreds of kilometers away from me and I rarely traveled home. One day, while scrolling through Facebook, I saw that there was a cat show almost next door, at the Lurdy house, that weekend. So I asked my partner to go, "just to look at the cats". Yes, there's a reason I'm saying that. After all, we had agreed to just look at them, but in the end we came home with a beautiful black Maine Coon female... As we went from cage to cage, we talked a lot, joked, had a good time, looked at the cats, and almost at the same time we said: "That's the cat!". She was such a wonderfully beautiful little cat that I can't tell you, it was simply love at first sight. Even though she was sitting in the corner of the cage with a very grumpy head... We talked a lot with her breeder; about Maine Coons, about keeping cats, about showing, about breeding, about basically everything, and finally the idea of becoming a breeder came to me. After we brought Szaffi home, I was agonizing for weeks and months about whether to start. Finally, yes, I decided that yes, I would start, the website proves it! I really enjoyed the initial organization, choosing the name of the kennel, integrating into the association, the official paperwork. In fact, I enjoyed almost every part of founding the kennel. It's funny, choosing the name was the hardest of them all. Glowing Gems. My two favorite gems are emerald and amethyst, which is why the cat's eyes in the logo are green and purple, and that's why the color we represent is green and purple! Since the foundation, I have been consciously developing myself with cats and all the knowledge related to them, to be the best I can be. I believe and know that there is always room for improvement, no matter what.
